Man-Up
MAN-UP encourages participants to acknowledge their past hurts, scars, and wounds while recognizing their potential to positively influence their own lives and those around them. We emphasize that to MAN-UP, one must be respectful and faithful to oneself, commitments, and promises.
Founded by Heidi Hemp in response to the lack of support for men facing challenges, MAN-UP addresses the needs of those often overlooked—such as young men striving for maturity, veterans adjusting to civilian life, and individuals recovering from addiction. We believe that every man deserves the opportunity to develop self-respect and make informed decisions.
As one of Arizona Hygiene for Hope’s signature programs, MAN-UP serves 500 men, providing them with hygiene items, clothing, socks, boxer briefs, and nourishing meals. Our program inspires men to work through their pasts and discover their power to effect positive change in their lives and their communities.
